RTN Season 10, episode 7

Where were they on their road trip?
In this episode of road trip nation Mariette is from New York city and Viki Smith is from Menands, NY
What careers being introduced?
Mariette DiChristina is a editor and chief, when she went to school she loved science but there was a problem If she wanted to be in science, she’d have to pick just one thing to specialize in, and in the end she just couldn't do it. Eventually she went back to study again and when one of her teachers she should try journalism it really grabbed interest but she still liked science. That is later when she found a job to write about science and in different background and ways that gave her a a unexpected discovery of her career of what she is now. A writer in Scientific American.
Viki Smith works as a level designer, she works to play on games and create different levels and obstacles one can go through and test them. She had interest in games and went to a lot to get were she is and very glad for it doesn't even seem as a job, it can be very entertaining.

What advice did they have to give?
Mariette DiChristina: “People make much of having it all—and I really don’t believe in having it all, but I believe you can have some portion of it that works for you. So follow those passions and remember: Why not you? Why not you to succeed? You can do it”
Viki Smith: “It’s not just playing the game, it’s learning that your limits aren’t what you think they are.”

Do any of these careers interest you?
I like video games and the thought of designing video games it awesome but the problems is I hardly even play and when I do its just sad, so I thought I should really go into I never had the talent. But I know that if someone is determined one can always learn.
Summary
You can never know what things you can accomplish if you never try. Also even the simple things that grabs your attention such as hobbies can always become a career you just have to look more into it. That is why is good to always to explore more into different lives to learn more.
