Erica was fired for she did poor leadership skills and wasn't able to manage under stress therefore shes out. I agree with her firing for she was going off on Nick but she should have made a plan and kept on top of thing, and she handle poorly when stressed so I agree with the fireing.

RTN interview ART week 8

RTN, INTERVIEW OF ART
2.    What were the careers introduced?  (List name and career)
Van Taylor is a shoe artist in Obama shoe. He loved artist and he graduated college he knew he wanted to do something involve in business, when he could no longer take being a broker he quit his job and finally decided to be an artist. Obama was his inspiration when he painted a design on a shoe which later became the start to his success which lead him were he is now. Keep faithful in what you believe in no matter how hard it gets. William Albert had poor grades in High school and worked in a telephone construction until his sister convinced him to do something better in life and mention he has been good in art. Which later he went to study in a college and became an Photographer in national geographic. For he just kept going and nothing held him back for what he wanted to do.
William Morris is considered one of the best american glass blower artist who has his own store, even has collections in the Metropolitan museum of Art. When he was growing up his biggest fear was people always asking what he wanted to do in life when he was young. But since he was young he was influenced by his parents for his mother did art.
3.    What advice did they have to give? (Each person)
Van Taylor Monroe: “When things got tough, I didn't just give up. I was going to be a success story.”
William Albert:“It makes me realize that it's possible…to set out with a goal and it's possible to reach that goal.”
William Morris:“Would you rather have one year of utter vitality, or would you have 10 years of just sort of ho-hum mediocrity? Either choice is fine…Live the choice that you make.”
4.    Do any of these careers interest you?  (Why or why not?)
I have never really thought in going in any of these careers especially but I  know art is going to be part of it. What I liked the most was William Morris who his life is all about glass blowing, which I think its beautiful and amazing but takes effort. Because if you want to become better than people you must learn from them first then use your own creativity to make it your own.

1.    What were the careers introduced?  (List name and career)
Ross Rossin is an painter of his store Rossin Fin Art who always new what he wanted to do since he was young was to become an artist. You have to learn to appreciate the unknown and overcome fear for that's what will hold you back the most. He will always will be dissatisfied and never be happy how he is for he will always will search for more and that's the price you pay. Todd is a comic book artist, who never really wanted to go school. He used a baseball scholarship and worked as a janitor and work in comics during the night. He had the opportunity to later work in comics and jump over college. But one must understand that not everyone has to be a success by the first years out in the real world everything takes time and passion. Terrence is artist and founder of Rosalux gallery, he never thought that art will be working in art as a living but all he knew he wanted to be part of his life. Even so their will always people telling you, you will never make it but you just need to go forward.
2.    What advice did they have to give?  (Each person)
Ross Rossin:
“Not knowing everything is a good thing because it gives you courage.”
Todd McFarland: “All the ideas you have when you are younger, who knows, maybe in 10 years, you'll be in another spot and that idea might work.”
Terrence Payne: Ask yourself...“What can I do that's different?”
3.    Do any of these careers interest you?  (Why or why not?)
I'm not sure that I will do them in a future but the comic artist Todd had grabbed my attention. For since 6 grade I have gain interest in anime/manga which is similar in a way to comics. And what Todd said that motivate me is that even though you don't know were your heading if its something that you want make it part of your life.
Summary; What did you like/dislike about this episode?
What I liked about these interviews is that its all involve art, and even though I feel at times that I may not know were I'm heading I know art will have to be part of my life. And these episodes just showed that I have to be willing to have the courage to fight and keep myself motivate to get what a want. For that I have to be willing to take risk even if I end up falling I must take the risk.

Shark Tank Season 6 episode 12

WHAT IS THE PRODUCT?
(DESCRIBE)
WHAT ARE THEY ASKING FOR? ($)
WHAT DO THE SHARKS GET? (%)
DID ANYONE WANT IT?  WHY/WHY NOT? (WHO/HOW MUCH $/%?)
WAS A DEAL MADE?
Explain……
Neil is the CEO of the company "the Mensch on a bench" which is basically are holiday gift for Christmas, for Jewish people.

 Neil is asking 150 k
 for 10% of their company.
Kevin- doesn't see it as an investment and see it more of a hobby so hes out. Mark says says that you have to big idea but don't have everything you need to get their so he's out.
Robert sees that he needs to maximize sales. and went together worth Lori 150 k for 30%. Barbara makes an offer 150 k for 20%
Neil  accept deal with Lori and Robert of 150 k for 15% with guarantee that they will get their money back by the end of the year
Nathans company called EveDrop, is an easier way to add to put the Christmas lights.

 he was asking 75 k
 for 20% of their company.
Mark because Barbara mom was smarter than Nathan hes out. Barbara is out for he is not persuasive enough and the product doesn't sale itself so shes out. Robert is out for he let go of a sale for the company. Lori believes it has a potential down the road but it has a long way to go so she's out.
Kevin because the product is to simple hes out.
Their wasn't any deal for Nathans company for his product was not that efficient and also doesn't seem that his product will sell and become popular.
Q flex is a portable massage item that is cheaper than the expensive massage chairs or mechanical items.

They are asking for 20 k
for only 20% of their company.
Kevin because he sees that they can't really commit them self to company hes out. Lori since shes cant see the product successful shes out.Robert since he sees that Lori is an expert in this and she got out so did he. Barbara and Mark joined together and made an offer of 25 k for 25% and will manage the company.
They made a deal with Robert and Barbara with 25 k for 25% of the company and must be available when needed for their company.
Trina comes from California and her company called Paws are basically footprints to imitate footprints pf icons holidays for children enjoyment.

 She wants 50 k
 for 10% of her company.
Robert because their are no sales you don't know if the product will become popular for their is no proof. Kevin made an offer of 5 k for 50%.
Barbara 49% for 100 k and in the future it will be 50, 50.
Lori, mark made no deals.
Trina was considered a beast she knew how to get things done. Therefore Trina made a deal with Barbara of having 51% of her company for 100 k and later on both will go 50 and 50 as equal partners.

Add in your opinion of each product: 1) Whether you like it or not, 2) Whether you agree with the outcome and why/why not.
-The "the Mensch on a bench" is something I don't know if its something I can say much for I don't know much of Jewish religion and if they would actually buy, but I'm glad he got a deal for I have no idea if they would buy, also the man freaks me out a bit. EveDrop product was to simple it wasn't really worth it compared for the price and do it yourself, so it was a product not worth investing.Q flex product does seem durable I believe their product should be tested and proven and  then it would be an outstanding product, but it was a good thing they got a deal for a business that's not that successful is starting of good. Now for Trina product I honestly believe that I can do it myself and not need to purchase such product, it will be great for people who can't do it themselves but its not a product that will hit its top boards. So I disagree it was a good idea to invest in even more when their is no sales to prove that it has a popular market.

What were the careers introduced?  (List name and career)
Gabriel Garcia is an independent filmmaker who came to this country first as a director in theater, and later a producer made an offer for he liked his play and wanted to make a film. since then he was fascinated by this experience became his motivation. If you have the spirit to do something do it.

Eventually a teacher at USC got him a job, and that's the beauty that their was no planning for you never know what your good at so just let you passion lead you.
Gillian Caldwell is the director at the human rights programs witness, when the first video cameras came out in 1889 Gillian wanted to make a documentary film that makes a difference. Gillian Caldwell:“If I had made a choice, it was to try to change the world…I think you have a responsibility to try to ensure that there is actually freedom.”

Summary (What did you like/dislike about this episode?)Do any of these careers interest you?  (Why or why not?):
What I truly I liked about this episode is that the bravery of Gillian is amazing she could have been killed or kidnapped and sold, and no one would have ever known were she had gone, with no back up as police right outside the door. just to share that story. It takes a great risk to make a great influence or impact for others and this was to help women earn and receive security and freedom. What I liked about the series of these interviews is the different impact that they show us that others can do in their job. Such as Gillian posing as a company with woman smugglers, or even Gabriel who wasn't born here but by traveling and experiencing new opportunities just amaze you the things can happen. I don't know if I will be working in the Film industries but I now that if I never take risks I will never get to live the experience.

Apprentice – Season 1 – Episode 6

1. Where do the teams meet to find out about the task?  Why is that spot important to Trump?
In the beginning they were asked to meet at Walman ice skating rank in central rank, for it was a charity work that Trump did and was able to finish under the expected year and under the budget estimated.
2. What is the task?  How do they win?
The task for this episode was that each group will receive five celebrities and will negotiate with them to create a bundle of an experience with them, all to raise money for a charity and the highest bid wins.

3. Who were some of the celebrities the teams met with?
Some of the celebrities that came out for each group was Brooke Kennedy, Carson Deity executive pro, Russel Simon, and  Kate white.
4. What were some of the auction items the teams secured?
Some were to be able look into a famous fashion designer clothing in the biggest event fashion week runway and have their own clothing line for them. Other ones were to hang out or experience their work experience. One of my favorite ideas was to go bolling one night out.

5. How much did each team raise?
Protege had raised 35,000, while Versacorp had raised up to 40,000.

7. Which team won?
The leading team in this episode was Versacorp winning by an amount of $5,000 more than team Protege.

8. Which three went into the Boardroom?  Why did each go in?
three of the members that went into the boardroom were the leader Omarosa, Heidi and Jessie. Omarosa was in charge of the team therefore was in fault but their was a conflict between Heidi and Jessie was considered the weakest link which I think she was for they way she spoke.

9. Who was fired? Why?
In the end Jessie was the one fired, for she wasn't sticking up for her self/ or defend herself and that showed as a weakness therefore she was let go.

10. Do you agree with the firing?
I believe the one who should have been fired was Omarosa for her attitude was rude and  practically ignored all the ideas or request of some of the team members. But I personally hated Jesse for back stabbing her friend in the past video.

I feel that they made the right decision in firing Christi for even though she had done a great job so far, it was a very bad idea to handle money by placing it in ones pocket.

Post Title: Shark Tank Season 6 Episode3

Shark Tank Episodes
WHAT IS THE PRODUCT?
(DESCRIBE)
WHAT ARE THEY ASKING FOR? ($)
WHAT DO THE SHARKS GET? (%)
DID ANYONE WANT IT?  WHY/WHY NOT? (WHO/HOW MUCH $/%?)
WAS A DEAL MADE?
Explain……
Ray and alvin are owners of Soapsox which is a toy that basically has a pocket to hold soap which makes bathing easier and funner.

 They are asking 26
for 10 % of the company.
Daymond and he offered 260 k for 33%.While the rest all were out for the product did not seem to be worth the investment.
They tried to counter attack 35 k for 15% but was denied Lori and Robert offered to buy the product but failed so in the end their was no deal.
Heart Pup's is basically a pet carrier that provides more safety for your pet.

They are asking 25 k
for 10 % of their company.
Mark, Kevin Lori and Robert considered the product not so unique and also some just can help the heart pup's out. On the other hand Daymond made an offer of  50 k for 40% equity.
Anastasia accepted Daymond offer of 50 k for 40%.
NinjaKards are basically cards that can be used in a different series of ways to play games.

They are asking 60 k for
30% of their company.
Many of the sharks got out for the product wasn't really that good. also this company owners didn't seem much of a motivational to convince the sharks their were up to it.
All the sharks got out, so in the end their was no deal for NinjaKards.
drumpants is a sensors that provides the efficiency in playing music, using apps or using the using the internet.
they are asking 150 k
for just 5% of their company.
Lori, kevin and Mark saw that it will take a while before they get the money they invested in so they all dropped out. While Robert made an offer of 150 k for 20%, and Daymond 250 k for only 20%.
Drumpants tried to countered attack Daymond for 150 k for 15% but  said no. In the end they were denied for Daymond saw they took to long to respond.

Provide the above information in your blog, in written form.  Then add in your opinion of each product: 1) Whether you like it or not, 2) Whether you agree with the outcome and why/why not.
They all seemed quite different the while to me most of these products seemed pretty useless and not that interesting. The NinjaKards and HeartPup's do not seem anything original and doesn't seem to ever make such a huge hit. On the other hand Drumpants did seem a really interesting product, and should have accepted the deal with the sharks. While Soapsox does seem nice it will only stay in children's and never really improve from there and now a days its about technology not many buy stuff toys anymore.

Shark Tank Episodes

WHAT IS THE PRODUCT?
(DESCRIBE)
WHAT ARE THEY ASKING FOR? ($)
WHAT DO THE SHARKS GET? (%)
DID ANYONE WANT IT?  WHY/WHY NOT? (WHO/HOW MUCH $/%?)
WAS A DEAL MADE?
Explain……
Max is the creator and founder of Lumio which is basically a book light.

 Max asked  250k
for 8 percent of the company.
Robert made a deal for 250k for 10 % and countered attacked 350k for 10%. Kevin made a deal of 250k and 4% and 7dlrs a unit until it doubles. Mike offered 500k for 16% to help max capital grow. Lori made an offer 250k for 12% and 250 credit. Daymond offered 750k for 20% and 10 for credit.
Max decided and made a deal with Robert who did not want to take much of max company and wanted to follow the plan max had in mind.
Neil is the co founder with Justin who both developed a sleeping mask called Napwell.

Neil offered 10k
 10%
Mike got out for he doesn't believe that they came looking for a deal with a shark. Kevin and Robert is out for that kind of area is too risky and challenging. Lori is out for she believes the true trouble is sleeping not waking up. Daymond is out  for believe they are wanting to grow too early.
Neil and Justin didn't get a deal for the sharks believed that they don't have enough sales to proof anything of people truly wanting the product.
Christine was in the air force lieutenant, after she left army she would often hike with her dogs and got an idea to create a meal bar for dogs called Turbpup.

 Christine offered 100 k
 for 20%
Mike got out for he doesn't have the time or energy to be with her business. Robert and Kevin got out for their isn't enough sales. Lori .got out for she believes the company still needs to grow. Daymond made a offer of 100 k for 40%.
Christine countered back for deal of 100 k fir 35% with Daymond. Helping her to expand more in different areas such as outdoor stores.
Joe was a guy who worked for astro black and now created bello Verde which are custom suits.

 Joe offered 360 k
 for 6%
Kevin got out for Joe's is pricing his company too high. Lori got out for she does't believe she should invest in a man clothing. Robert got out for Joe wanted to brand two companies. Mike got out for he doesn't believe he will receive much, too risky. Daymond made an offer of 360 k to 33%.
Joe had an offer by Daymond of 360 for 33% and then 25%, but Joe valued his company much more and didn't want to higher than 8%. So in the end Joe lefty empty handed.

Add in your opinion of each product: 1) Whether you like it or not, 2) Whether you agree with the outcome and why/why not.
  • The Lumio was a great idea if he add pattern in them for kids it will be more successfulChristine Turbpup was a great idea the people need dog food to go. While the Napwell and Bello Verde didn't seem that were prepared and was really looking for a shark. If I had the money I probably would buy the mini size book from Lumio. But in the end I do agree with the outcome of this episode.

Al Merrick is the founder of Channel Island Surfboards. Al is man who only went to two years in college, but never found great interesting. His main interest was always surfing which influenced him in making them himself, and never thought or expected to grow into hi own business. He says never look to be financially successful for while never leave you to live a happy life. Andrew Lins is a conservator at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. When he was young he had two ideas to do in life, medicine and art. And since he knew that medicine was something his parents would approved he took it. Until he got in an accident he really thought a lot about life, until he ran into professor in a art, which later advice him to look into conservation that do art and science. And since then Andrew appreciated this for one cant take back the days that already passed. Chris Flink is a product designer at IDEO who the owner use to be his councilor at Stanford. His counselor David Kelly was the one who influence to go into design, for during the time Chris was a Stanford he had always thought that career was always about proving others what you can do but in reality it should only be you.
2. What advice did they have to give? (Each person)
Al Merrick: “People are in a rush to start their lives, and it's sad...the rest of their lives, they're working at something they don't enjoy.”
Andrew Lins:“Do the things that you feel like you're spending your time well. In the end, you'll be happy, if not proud of your life.”
Chris Flink:  “You have to find something that allows some piece of your soul—the part that you're passionate about—to participate. If you turn your back on that, you're setting yourself up for misery.”
3. Do any of these careers interest you?  (Why or why not?)
From these three careers my most favorite one is Al's for even though I have never surfed before I really like how you can design them and create million of patterns that just sparks me with crazy ideas, you never I know I might even take a surf class one day.
4. What did you like/dislike about these careers?
I liked the videos its just i wished when they showed people who created their own shops or companies. Let us know what was one of their best creation, or what was the hit that got everything started to have an idea of how it was.
Post Title 2
RTN –  Interviews in Philosophy and religion
1. What were the careers introduced?  (List name and career)
Trelise Cooper didn't know anything about fashion when she opened her shop at age 23. She remembered the night before opening she complaining what made her think how the heck she she could do this. Opening day she noticed that she had line waiting outside, and just takes effort to trust yourself a bit more. Of course there will always be haters, but she says its a journey of self expression, how you live your life and also is a personal growth journey. Tim Brown was born in England where he use to study classical English not until when he was around 17 that he started to find interest in art. But when he told his councilors of his new interest and plan his school councilor  weren't quite happy. Even so he perused it and use that negativity as his motivation to keep doing what e now loves.Michelle Dreher is a women who became the founder of Two Tone Press, but she always dreamed and hoped of many things and wasn't really interested in illustration not until she got an internship at Hammerpress Letterpress Printers. Which influenced her to develop a passion of letter pressing, and motivated her to open her own shop. Shes says you can say she was waiting for that moment in her life to arrive.
2. What advice did they have to give?  (Each person)
Trelise Cooper:“‘Cause actually fear doesn't go away—fear is with you and it will stop you or you can actually do it with fear anyway.”
Tim brown:“I feel the most respect for people who keep searching. There are plenty of people who realize they are in the wrong thing and just keep looking.”
Michelle Dreher: “Do you really want to spend years thinking about what you want to do? Or do you want to actually do something?”
3. Do any of these careers interest you?  (Why or why not?)
The career that I like from all this three is Trelise and how  even though she knew nothing about fashion and scared to death, she over came those fears and made her stronger and happier.
4. What did you like/dislike about these careers?
I like the fact that its shows no matter were you are or what you do you eventually will come around and find what makes you, you. No matter how long it will take it eventually will come your way.
